Fall engagement sessions in Utah are probably my favorite, but I really can’t say my favorite, because I love every season! Little Cottonwood canyon was the perfect location for this stunning couple. Neetu’s dress was perfect, these two were a dream to photograph.
Jewels of Nagarkot, Nepali Wedding | Jessica’s Photography |
Back in March I was fortunate to go to The Beyond Workshop in Nepal, put on by Nina and Wes Photography. I had always wanted to go to Nepal, and one day I saw this workshop advertised on Wedding Sparrows Instagram. I knew that I had to go. I mainly wanted to go to the humanitarian part of it, but the styled shoots were icing on the cake. Abany Bauer with Brown Linen Designs was the stylist for these shoots, she put together perfect little vignettes to photograph. Stylists make a huge difference on your wedding day, she makes everything perfect before I photograph each part of your wedding. Carrie Moe with Type A Society is a floral genius, she was able to forage the flowers for the wedding centerpiece and the wedding bouquet from the hills of the Himalayan mountains. It was so fun to watch these two work, they were so inspiring with their talent in the wedding industry. I am so grateful for the both of them, they have helped me determine my goals with my wedding photography business. I have become a better wedding photographer because of them, and I hope to continue to grow. The Fort Resort in Nagarkot, Nepal was the perfect backdrop perched on top of the mountains in Nepal. I love destination weddings, and would love to photograph more around the globe.
The fabric on this wedding dress from Carol Hannah was divine, the layers were so playful to photograph, they draped with elegance on the rock steps.
This workshop was mainly for film photographers. I love both digital and film, it was so hard to step away from my digital camera, but I love my results with my Hasselblad 503cx. All of the square photos are shot with film.

French Inspired Summer | Jessica’s Photography
We were honored to have this shoot also featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs.
This Parisian Inspired Wedding was inspired by a summer evening in the country side. We loved being able to incorporate soft feminine colors and use the natural elements surrounding the venue to keep the design elegant but not distracting from its surroundings. The dress provided by The Dress Theory, was a perfect match for the shoot that gave it that soft ethereal bridal look and the accessories from Petal & Stone added the perfect amount of elegance. The invitation suite was kept clean and minimalistic, using handmade paper from the markets from Kathmandu, Nepal than adorned with the calligraphy of Cristal Jones, who also created the beautiful florals.
Historic Seven Sycamores was the perfect venue to help recreate the look and feel of the French country side. Its hallway of trees made for a fun and whimsical backdrop for the beautiful model Ashley to have fun, while the trees played with the light beautifully. We had a cozy little spot off in a cove of trees and green to set up the dining place-sets and florals. The massive amount of orange trees added a feminine and colorful touch and yummy smell.
The tiniest and most elegant details of the place sets, invitations, and florals tied the whole setting together. The calligraphy beautifully done by the talented Cristal Jones gave the invitations that old fashion french flare, she also blew us away with her simple, yet stunning floral arrangements.
The dress, provided by The Dress Theory, only added to the extravagant, yet simple charm of the whole shoot. The soft bodest lined with lace perfectly fitted and accompanied by the soft flowing skirt brought a whimsical, romantic element to the model and scene, as well as the beautiful pink flowers, mixed with the dark green leaves in the bouquet and her hair.
I loved this whole shoot and the warm, romantic and simpleness of it all. The model was stunning, as well as everything on her and around her. It was that perfect french inspired summer wedding.
