Jackson Hole Destination Wedding | Matt and Sarah

January 7, 2023

This beautiful Jackson Hole Destination Wedding was such a joy to be a part of. Matt and Sarah are two of the kindest people, you could feel their love for each other and their families in each detail and smile.

Their love story

Matt and Sarah met at Gonzaga, and quickly hit it off, going on three dates the first week. From there, they started dating right before graduation. After they both graduated, they took turns commuting to each other home towns until eventually they couldn’t be apart any longer and finally moved in together.

To propose, Matt enlisted the help of Sarah’s Uncle, Captain Tom to take them on a boat ride! Shortly after getting on the boat in Sausalito, they took off towards the Golden Gate with both our parents on board as well as Matt’s brother. After a little convincing, Sarah agreed to go to the front of the boat with Matt where they sat down and Matt started with the oh-so-smooth, “So I think you are pretty cool”. Seconds later, Matt was down on one knee asking Sarah to spend the rest of her life with him. After a quick clarification question of “Are you serious?!?” Sarah said that 3 letter word that kicked off all the festivities. A beautiful cruise around the bay with our families led to champagne and dinner on the Sausilito shore. Following dinner Matt, Sarah, Mary Ellen, and John headed to San Francisco where we celebrated into the night with friends that graciously came into town to help share in the joy.

The Couple

Sarah loves to read, bake, and spend time with family & friends. I also value time with my friends. She bakes, grabs dinner, and has game nights with friends on a regular basis. Together they love to cook for her grandparents and parents. Matt loves boating, especially wakeboarding. His favorite memories are spending time with family and friends, whether that’s houseboat trips to Lake Shasta or day trips to Lake Berryessa. Thankfully college basketball and boating seasons don’t overlap because Matt’s other passion is Gonzaga Basketball. Matt loves projects! He is always looking for something to do whether that’s building beds, planting vegetables, fixing the car, or making corn hole sets.

High West Distillery | Park City Wedding

January 4, 2023

High West Distillery

To keep their guests safe in 2020 Seth and Ashley rescheduled their wedding celebrations to be a year later.. This is the second part to their wedding, and I loved it just as much as the first. They were able to celebrate at the High West Distillery for part two of their wedding. This venue is really incredible, every detail is thought out and beautiful. It backs up to the mountains in Park City, Utah.

Lilly and Iris Florals

I am genuinely so obsessed with the floral arrangements that Alexa from Lilly and Iris Florals created for this wedding at the High West Distillery. I recommend her to anyone having a Park City wedding.

Flour and Flourish Wedding Cake

Can you believe the detail on this cake? Flour and Flourish did such an incredible job. Everyone deserves a cake like this for their wedding that they can love!

Saint Mary’s Catholic Church | Park City Wedding

January 3, 2023

Their Story

Before their beautiful Park City wedding at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church, Seth and Ashley met in college in Philadelphia. They were in the same small program that graduated 14 people in their year so they had a lot of their classes together and their program was a tight-knit group. They like to joke that their first real interaction and first photo together was in a graveyard. Their program director had an unusual sense of humor and their first assignment was a scavenger hunt across Philly as a hazing (educational) activity.

The Proposal

Seth proposed by taking Ashley out on a hike to go “stargazing” when she was visiting his family for the holidays several years ago. They were out by Pineview Reservoir where the light pollution is pretty minimal. Seth roped his best friend into camping out on the other side of the riverbank (in 19 degree weather!!) and turning on a light box at the right moment so that when Ashley looked into the telescope, she could see “Ashley will you marry me” on this tiny foot.

Saint Mary’s Catholic Church

The beautiful wedding took place at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Park City, Utah. Because of the pandemic, their celebrations were spread out to keep their guests safe. They chose 10/10/2020 as their wedding date, and it was the most perfect fall day for a Park City Wedding.
