David and Aimee planned a romantic getaway for Valentines Day at the amazing Amangiri in Southern Utah. While there they wanted to do an engagement shoot celebrating their recent engagement. I love photographing in the desert, there is something so unique about the landscape. I love their classy style, the red dress and suit are the perfect match for the unique surroundings of the Amangiri.
Happy 1 Year Anniversary to Noah and Lui! Their wedding took place at the amazing Amangiri located near Page, AZ. The Amangiri is part of a beautiful boutique hotel chain; Aman Resorts. I would love to photograph at some of their other locations, they are so amazing! Noah and Lui came from Texas to come get married at the beautiful resort. Destination weddings are my favorite, I am so inspired as I go to new places and experience a new environment. They planned a Navajo wedding ceremony at sunrise and it was so amazing to witness. Lui’s beautiful gown from J.Crew was the perfect fit for this desert wedding.

Ulrike is the artist for all of the paintings at the Amangiri. She has a beautiful cave on property where she creates each of the beautiful prints. She gathers elements of the earth and creates these magnificent pieces of art, we had the opportunity to watch her create one, and it was amazing.
After their beautiful Amangiri ceremony we traveled to a few of the slot canyons in the area. Upper Antelope Canyon is so breathtaking! We were also able to visit Owl and Rattlesnake canyon; Page, Arizona is something else.

This helipcopter proposal was featured on Utah Bride Blog a while back and I am excited to finally share these proposal photos in Southern Utah.
Darshan contacted me several months before he was going to pop the question to his girlfriend Tulsi, in December in 2013. He wanted to have the proposal photographed and then some engagement photos afterward. Darshan told her they would be visiting Southern Utah for a camping and fishing trip. When they arrived she was surprised with a unique stay at the amazing Amangiri Resort for a relaxing vacation. While they were there he also surprised her with a helicopter ride to view the stunning Southern Utah scenery. From the helicopter we were able to view Horseshoe Bend and Lake Powell. The helicopter landed on Tower Butte which is only accessible by helicopter.
My husband and I posed as guests at the resort and went along on the helicopter ride with the happy couple. Darshan and I had decided on a sign so I would know where he planned on proposing. He found his spot and got down on one knee and asked the question. Tulsi was completely surprised and said yes!
Once we returned to the resort we took some engagement photos, everything turned out perfect!
I have loved being a photographer at the Aman Resorts, the Amangiri is so unique and it resembles the beauty of Southern Utah.
