Summer Jackson Hole Family Photos | Jackson Hole Photographer

January 27, 2020

Schwabacher Landing, Jackson Hole Family Photos

We had the most beautiful summer evening for this stunning family’s family photos in Jackson Hole. Their session took place at Schwabacher’s Landing, and the light was perfect for getting the views of the Tetons. Schwabacher’s Landing is a beautiful place in Jackson Hole. The scenery is so amazing and all the photos turned out so nice! This family traveled from Florida for a family vacation and hired me to photograph them while they were all together. I love that this is a new trend for vacations! What a cool way to remember your trip! I have enjoyed meeting so many people from all over when they come to visit Grand Teton, National Park. Being a Jackson Hole Family Photographer is truly the best job!

As soon as the family stepped out of their cars, I knew that it was going to be a great photoshoot. I still can’t get over how gorgeous all of their dresses were! I seriously could have done a full shoot with each family; it was hard to split the time up! The little kids were so much fun to photograph; their personalities were so happy! I loved seeing how much love this family had for each other, and you could tell that the grandparents were so proud of their children and grandchildren. It is always so special to photograph the relationships of other families.

Summer is filling up fast for 2020 in Jackson Hole. You can visit my website or email me to hold your spot today at jessica@jessicasphoto.com.

Promontory Club Family Photos | Park City Family Photographer

January 13, 2020

I had so much fun working with this family; they were so kind and generous! They were all at their second home in Park City at the Promontory Club for the holidays, and it was a perfect time to get an updated photo. We lucked out with fresh snow on Christmas, so everything looked so beautiful! As a photographer, I love how their outfits came together, and the neutral colors are perfect for the winter scene. And I am obsessed with the mom’s coat; it looked so good for the snowy day in the mountains. Even though all of the kids are adults, they still put up with me, making them laugh and smile at each other, those are always some of my favorite images!

At the Promontory Club, they have the most beautiful lake and boathouse in the community; it is my new favorite place to take photos in Park City! It looks like it is straight out of a magazine or a movie, it was so picturesque! Being a Promontory Club Family Photographer is seriously a dream!

Tips for Winter Photoshoots

Some people are afraid of the snow for family photos; if you dress correctly and embrace the cold, they will be some of your favorite photos! Here are a few tips to make it through a snowy, winter photoshoot:

Have outfits that look good with or without your coats. A lot of times, we will start without coats on and then add them back in as it gets too cold. If you have the right layers, it will add to the shoot and give you more variety.

Wear good shoes, and this will make all of the difference. If you can keep your feet dry with a good pair of boots, you will stay warm for a lot longer. There are so many cute options for boots, and they look so good in photos! I love my Sorel and Timberland Boots.

If you want to wear gloves in the photos, make sure they aren’t too flashy or bright. You can also wear one glove on the hand in the back and keep yourself half warm! 🙂

A lot of people travel to Park City from warmer places and haven’t been accustomed to the cold. My best tip for dealing with the cold is your adjusting your mindset. Don’t think about how cold it is, focus on how much you love your family instead.

I am super easy going when it comes to doing photo sessions if you need to warm up, please let me know! I don’t ever want to make you too uncomfortable, and there is always time to warm up in the car or your home for a bit.

Some people take the winter off because they don’t like working in the snow, I love it and can’t get enough of all of the snowy photo sessions!

The Kite Family | Cache Valley Family Photographer

November 6, 2019

Cache Valley Utah

Family photo sessions are some of my favorite sessions as a photographer! I just love the Kite family!  I enjoy doing their family photos every year. We have grown so close, and  I love seeing their cute kids grow and see their fun personalities come out.  Lizzy always has the cutest style! I always look forward to their shoots, because I know that she will dress her family so cute, and have the perfect paring of colors and outfits. The colors she choose for this fall setting was perfect. I was obsessed with all their outfits! We did these photos at the end of August and I love when the green grass turns to yellow, it is my favorite. The grass does such a good job making the colors and outfits pop.

Northern Utah is one of the most beautiful locations for family photo sessions in Utah. I love Cache Valley and all the different scenery and seasons that this area has to offer. Every single photo session in that area produces the most beautiful images! I am always so happy with how all my photo sessions turn out there! I am so lucky to be a Cache Valley Family Photographer!

My 2020 schedule is filling up fast! You can visit my website or email me to hold your spot today at jessica@jessicasphoto.com.
