Katherine and Oliver are so classic, I just loved their style, it was perfect for this Salt Lake engagement session. The State Capitol in Salt Lake City is the perfect setting for in-between seasons. Utah can get so gloomy in the winter when it’s not snowing. We were able to get a little green at the beautiful Garden Park Ward, too! I always feel that I am in a different city when I shoot here! It’s such a little oasis in the middle of everything.

Their Story

Mutual friends set them up on a blind date because they knew Katherine had a dream to date a man with a British accent haha! They immediately hit it off! They went mini golfing on their first date, then sang their hearts out on a drive up the canyon.

The Proposal

While visiting Oliver’s family in Kentucky they went on a cute walk to an old barn. When they saw his sister he cleverly said she was setting up something for her husband for their anniversary. But really it was set up to propose to her! After she said yes they drank Martinelli’s, ate chocolate, and danced in the cold.
